I was excited to give Nexo Gym Chalk a try after hearing great things about it. I was hoping for a soft, crushable gym chalk. Three of the blocks were soft and buttery, which was promising. However, the other five blocks were extremely hard – almost like rocks. This inconsistency was disappointing. The hardness reminded me too much of Prosource chalk, which I don’t prefer due to my sensitive hands. I don’t plan on purchasing this brand again anytime soon.

I tested the liquid chalk and one thing I dislike is the drying time, which can interrupt your flow when you’re in the zone. This chalk is straightforward and easy to use. I rated it a 4 because it tends to break easily, which can be messy. I found a solution by storing mine in a sandwich bag.
